Can I use images that i created with Membrane for commercial purposes?

Yes. Any image that you create with Membrane belongs to you. Assets within your creation are still subject to copyright law.

The images available within Membrane are provided by the kind folks at Unsplash. You may use those images for your creations under the same license used by Unsplash. This means that you can copy, modify, distribute and use the photos for free, including for commercial purposes, without asking permission from or providing attribution to the photographer, Unsplash or Membrane.

As soon as you import or add an image, logo, icon, etc from elsewhere we're relying on you to double check rights for those elements.

 

I can't type in my native language.

Some fonts may not support your language. If the text does not appear correctly, the font doesn't support that language. You can find supported languages below.

 

Can I use my own fonts?

Unfortunately, Membrane does not support to use custom fonts in your computer. However, we continue to add fonts to Membrane every update. We strive to diversify our selection to give our users as many choices as possible. If you have fonts you want us to add, simply contact us and we will do our best to add it to Membrane.

 

I run the installer and nothing happens.

Occasionally, Windows users may run into an error where the Membrane installer fails silently. There may be a message about preparing to install before the application closes, or there may be no message at all. The most common causes for that problem can be solved with these few steps:

 

Error: "Sorry, an error has occurred."

To resolve this issue, remove and reinstall Membrane and Adobe AIR. Please follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall Membrane and Adobe Air through Control Panel. Don't worry, your data won't be deleted.
  2. Download and run Microsoft Fix it. Go through the uninstall process and remove Membrane and Adobe AIR.
  3. If the C:\Program Files\Membrane2 older exists, delete it.
  4. Install the latest version of Adobe Air.
  5. Install the latest version of Membrane.
  6. Restart your computer and check Membrane works fine. If not, install again Membrane(Step 5).
 

Error: "The publisher of Membrane couldn't be verified."

While downloading Membrane, if you are getting an error "The publisher of Membrane couldn't be verified." or "The publisher of this program couldn't be verified", please try to download it again using a different browser like Chrome or Firefox.

 

How do I uninstall Membrane?

Mac App Store:

  1. Enter Launchpad.
  2. Click and hold on an Membrane icon until you see all icons jiggle.
  3. Click the "x" button in the upper-left of Membrane icon.
  4. Click "Delete" in the confirmation dialog to delete the Membrane.

Mac:

  1. In the Finder sidebar, click Applications.
  2. Drag Membrane from the Applications folder to the Trash(located at the end of the Dock).

Windows:

  1. Go to the Start menu > Control Panel. (Windows 8 users: Learn how to access the Control Panel)
  2. Click Programs and Features.
  3. Double-click Membrane.
  4. Click Uninstall from the confirmation dialog.
