Superstring does not launch.

This is Adobe AIR(Version 23)'s problem. So please use Adobe AIR(Version 22) and Superstring(Version 2.6.9) before the problem solved.

  1. Uninstall Superstring and Adobe Air(Version 23) through Control Panel. Don't worry, your data won't be deleted.
  2. Install Adobe Air(Version 22).
  3. Install Superstring(Version 2.6.9).
  4. Restart Superstring.
 

How do I scroll on the Superstring editor?

  • Just use the scroll wheel on your mouse. If you're using trackpad, you can use the two finger swipe.
  • Scroll bars will only appear when you are scrolling. When not scrolling, they disappear to not get in the way of your content. To use scroll bar, point your mouse at the right side of the clips table. In a second, the scroll bar will appear and you can scroll it.
 

I can't type in my native language.

Some fonts may not support your language. If the text does not appear correctly, the font doesn't support that language. You can find supported languages below.

 

Can I use my own fonts?

Unfortunately, Superstring does not support to use custom fonts in your computer. However, we continue to add fonts to Superstring every update. We strive to diversify our selection to give our users as many choices as possible. If you have fonts you want us to add, simply contact us and we will do our best to add it to Superstring.

 

Where can I find free music for my Superstring?

Superstring crashes when a lyric video is exporting.

How do I play my lyric video(FLV)?

Check out VLC media player. It's a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player that plays most multimedia files.

 

My lyric video(FLV) is so huge.

The FLV format is an option if the MP4 format is not working with your computer. It's uncompressed video, so that's why it's so huge. If you need a smaller file size you can just convert the video to other format.

 

How do I convert my lyric video to other format?

I run the installer and nothing happens.

Occasionally, Windows users may run into an error where the Superstring installer fails silently. There may be a message about preparing to install before the application closes, or there may be no message at all. The most common causes for that problem can be solved with these few steps:

 

Error: "Sorry, an error has occurred."

To resolve this issue, remove and reinstall Superstring and Adobe AIR. Please follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall Superstring and Adobe Air through Control Panel. Don't worry, your data won't be deleted.
  2. Download and run Microsoft Fix it. Go through the uninstall process and remove Superstring and Adobe AIR.
  3. If the C:\Program Files\Superstring2 older exists, delete it.
  4. Install the latest version of Adobe Air.
  5. Install the latest version of Superstring.
  6. Restart your computer and check Superstring works fine. If not, install again Superstring(Step 5).
 

Error: "The publisher of Superstring couldn't be verified."

While downloading Superstring, if you are getting an error "The publisher of Superstring couldn't be verified." or "The publisher of this program couldn't be verified", please try to download it again using a different browser like Chrome or Firefox.

 

I've purchased Superstring 1 Pro, am I eligible for a free upgrade to Superstring 2 Pro?

Customers who purchased Superstring 1 Pro after July 1, 2015 are eligible for a free upgrade. To take advantage of this offer, please follow these steps:

Where did Superstring 1 go?

Superstring 1 should be considered feature complete. We plan to provide bug fixes and support for as long as it's practical. If you would like to download the latest version of Superstring 1, you can do so by clicking on these links.

 

How do I uninstall Superstring?

Mac App Store:

  1. Enter Launchpad.
  2. Click and hold on an Superstring icon until you see all icons jiggle.
  3. Click the "x" button in the upper-left of Superstring icon.
  4. Click "Delete" in the confirmation dialog to delete the Superstring.

Mac:

  1. In the Finder sidebar, click Applications.
  2. Drag Superstring from the Applications folder to the Trash(located at the end of the Dock).

Windows:

  1. Go to the Start menu > Control Panel. (Windows 8 users: Learn how to access the Control Panel)
  2. Click Programs and Features.
  3. Double-click Superstring.
  4. Click Uninstall from the confirmation dialog.
